According to the American Cancer Society, nearly 34,000 people a year die of cancer that has been caused by environmental toxins. That means that at least 6% of all cancer deaths per year are caused by cancer causing agents in our environment. For the medical community to announce such alarming statistics and to freely admit that toxins cause cancer really ought to sober up our awareness.

Pregnant women in particular should avoid eating farm-raised salmon and purchase only fish caught in the wild. This whole idea of fish-farming is unhealthy to begin with. Farms create pollution and operate as breeding pools for diseases that in turn jump out into the environment and begin to afflict the wild populations of fish still roaming the oceans.
This serves as only one of many examples of how many products marketed as healthy are actually not-healthy as a result of how they are produced. “PCBs” stands for polychlorinated biphenyls, and they are in found in many seemingly innocuous food products such as farm-raised fish. There are many other types of toxins that cause cancer, however, in addition to PCBs. Mercury, many pesticides, and dioxin are poisonous not only to humans, but to the entire ecosystem. Animal life is protected by immune systems within organisms, and it takes less than a millionth of a gram of cancer causing chemicals and agents to impair autoimmune functions.
These, in turn, make human beings more vulnerable to certain forms of cancer such as non-Hodgkin lymphoma. This horrible disease has killed some of the best and brightest of our kind, and studies continue to confirm that PCBs in the blood increase the risk of its onset. Switching to an all-organic diet immediately can drastically reduce our exposure to PCBs and other carcinogenic agents.
