Health Conditions

healthy-food510ebdbe0183c.jpgWhen we use the term, “health conditions,” we are using it as a synonym for chronic illnesses.  Chronic illnesses are those that persist for a long period of time. Some of these conditions become life threatening if nothing is done about them.  Others cause severe, ongoing discomfort for the individual.

All of us have been sick at various points in our lives.  During these times, we suffered various forms of debilitation that ranged from extreme fatigue, headache, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and severe pain.  Regardless of the nature of the symptoms we experienced, however, the one constant among them was that they were all temporary.  Illnesses and symptoms that last for only a finite period of time like this are called “acute” diseases.

Some chronic conditions, on the other hand, can last an entire lifetime if nothing is done about them.

Examples of non-lethal chronic illnesses include arthritis, brain chemistry problems, fibromyalgia, Chrohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and osteoporosis.  Life-threatening illnesses include cancer, HIV, cardio artery disease, and diabetes.  Both of these lists represent only a fraction of the many health conditions that afflict human beings.  Treatments for these conditions vary as widely as the conditions themselves.

In our practice, we work to counter the effects of chronic illnesses by proactively boosting the vitality, resistance, and purity of the body.  In our book, The Green Body Cleanse, we state that toxins in the body play a much larger role in the development of various chronic illnesses that many people realize.  Many kinds of toxins will build up in our blood, tissues, and organs.  Over a period of time, each of them can severely impact our health if they are not cleansed from our systems.

We firmly believe that ridding the body of toxins is one of the most important things any person can do.  Naturally, too, it is especially important for those who suffer from any number of health conditions that toxins contribute to.  Taking action to purify the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the home’s we live in is vital to minimizing the toxins that accumulate within it.  Investing in natural products that help detoxify the body will help it rid itself of negative agents much more quickly.  Eating organic foods and taking the right supplements will boost the natural healing powers of the body.

One thing to be mindful of regarding toxins is that 90% of them are absorbed by the lining of our intestines.  Keeping negative agents out of our digestive tracts, and periodically investing in the right cleansing agents for our digestive systems, is one of the best things that any of us could do to prevent the occurrence of many of the painful, and often debilitating, health conditions that plague our civilization. 

It is also vitally important for us all to make organic living a personal priority.  Natural foods, organic herbs, and natural supplements, combined with consistent exercise, are the foundational elements to health and wellness.  Cleansing and detoxification rid our bodies of many of the negatives, but proactive nutrition and daily activity keeps us stimulated with positives.
